Sewer Rates
Reassessed rates are calculated using a household's average water usage, as reported by Little Thompson Water District, for the months of December, January and February. This reassessment is done annually.
The 2024 adopted rate adjustment, an increase of 2 percent, is a result of the 2019 Wastewater Rate and Fee Study Report, and the subsequent 2021 update. The study reviewed financial projections, compared current wastewater system costs against appropriate industry benchmarks, and evaluated the base and usage rate structures required to fund the town's wastewater system and maintain the wastewater utility. The sewer rates are considered and adopted by the Board of Trustees annually.
Monthly sewer rates, noted below, are effective as of March 1, 2024.

The sewer plant investment fees (PIF's) sometimes referred to as "tap fees" are a one-time fee for all new residential units and commercial buildings that are connecting into the Town's sewer system. PIF's for inside-Town connections for single-family, two-family and multi-family dwellings, and for all commercial and industrial facilities shall be based upon the size of the water tap serving the premises and are listed below:
