Mead Police seek information on attempted carjacking

March 24, 2022-At approximately 4:25 a.m. on Thursday March 24, the Mead Police Department was dispatched to a vehicle theft in progress on Eagle Avenue in Mead. The owner of the vehicle witnessed three suspects attempting to steal the vehicle out of the driveway. The victim was able to get one suspect out of the vehicle and attempted to detain him. A second suspect allegedly threatened the victim with a knife, while the third suspect backed into the victim’s vehicle. The three suspects fled the area and are currently being sought on the following charges: attempted aggravated motor vehicle theft, attempted aggravated robbery, menacing, criminal mischief, and assault.

The suspects are described as two Hispanic males and an unknown female. The vehicle they were driving appears to be a light-colored sedan, possibly a Nissan Altima or similar. This vehicle should have rear-end damage.

The Mead Police Department is seeking help from the community in providing any photos or video of suspicious vehicles and/or people in the area during the time this was committed. These suspects are currently still at large and considered dangerous.
