Proclamation: Alzheimer's and Brain Awareness Month

On May 31, 2022 Mayor Whitlow issued a proclamation declaring the month of June, 2022, as Alzheimer's and Brain Awareness Month in Mead. Alzheimer's is a leading cause of death in seniors and exacts a heartbreaking human toll on our Nation - as well as deep economic toll, with the cost of treatment exceeding $300 billion in 2020 alone. We encourage the residents of Mead to stay informed about this disease and advocate for those with Alzheimer's and their families.
