Mead Police discover illegal drugs in a suspicious vehicle

April 19, 2024--On April 15, at approximately 4:30 p.m., officers from the Mead Police Department spotted Robert J. Pierce, age 36, at 4329 Hwy 66. Subsequently, officers discovered a vehicle allegedly operated by Pierce, where a passenger, Zoe M. Drake, age 26, was present. Notably, the vehicle appeared to have been recently spray-painted black.

During the initial interaction, law enforcement officials found that Zoe Drake was in possession of illegal narcotics. The vehicle was then impounded for further investigation, and an ensuing inventory of the vehicle found a loaded handgun and over 330 grams of methamphetamine. After obtaining a search warrant, police seized additional controlled substances and another handgun. During the operation, approximate weights of suspected drugs recovered include:

  • 330 grams of methamphetamine
  • 68 grams of fentanyl
  • 8 fentanyl pills
  • 20 grams of heroin
  • 0.5 grams of cocaine
  • 775 grams of marijuana

Zoe Drake was arrested and released with a summons. Robert J. Pierce is being sought on charges of Possession of a Schedule I Controlled Substance, Intent to Distribute a Controlled Substance, Special Offender – Possession of a Weapon, Possession of a Weapon by a Previous Offender, Possession of Fentanyl, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
