Street Maintenance/Road Closures

Street maintenance is weather-sensitive; the schedule may vary. Please check back for regular updates.

May 14, 2024-- Starting Tuesday, May 21 through Friday, May 24, CR 5 from Hwy 66 to the Sorrento Neighborhood (Charbray St.) will be closed for chip seal and pavement markings. This will be a hard road closure that will reopen at the end of each day. Traffic control and detour signs will be in place. Local access will be provided from CR 5; however, there will be no access from Hwy 66 during these closures. Detour routes include County Line Rd., CR 34, CR 32, and CR 7. This work is related to the Gopher Gulch project; please avoid the area if possible.

  • 5/21: Road closure for striping removal and temporary markings.
  • 5/22: Closed for chip sealing.
  • 5/23: Closed for fog sealing.
  • 5/24: Closed for permanent striping and final inspection.

May 13, 2024--The Town of Mead will start its concrete repair and replacement program in various areas the week of May 20, with the saw-cutting of repair areas, followed by removal and replacement. This work should be completed by June 28. This completion date will depend on weather, equipment, and material availability. Work areas will include Feather Ridge, Margil Farms subdivision, 5th St sidewalk install, and the Hunters Ridge entrance. During construction times, alternate routes are advised. Additional work will be completed after the concrete repairs, including asphalt patching and reconstruction, Crack Seal, and Slurry Seal, and the striping will be installed. This project is funded by our sales tax revenue increase approved by voters in November 2021.
